by the Victorian (Australia) Government. The website provides online health and
medical information that is: quality assured, reliable, up-to-date, easy to
understand and locally relevant. Information on the Better Health Channel
includes: fact sheets with healthy living tips, fact sheets on health
conditions, questions and answers from a range of health experts, recipes,
interactive features,health tools, directories of events, services and
activities.

In 1953, the Cancer Council NSW was set up under an Act of
Parliament to tackle the challenge of reducing the impact of cancer on the
people of New South Wales. Over the past 50 years, The Cancer Council has

committed to fighting pancreatic cancer through research, awareness,
information and support and other projects of benefit to pancreatic cancer
patients. The site aims to raise awareness of cancer of the pancreas to aid
earlier diagnosis and to stimulate and enable more research into better
detection and treatment. It provides a central resource of information on
pancreatic cancer to patients, caregivers and GPs and a national support
network.
