In 1953, the Cancer Council NSW was set up under an Act of Parliament to tackle the challenge of reducing the impact of cancer on the people of New South Wales. The Pancreatic Cancer UK website is committed to fighting pancreatic cancer through research, awareness, information and support and other projects of benefit to pancreatic cancer patients. The site aims to raise awareness of cancer of the pancreas to aid earlier diagnosis and to stimulate and enable more research into better detection and treatment. It provides a central resource of information on pancreatic cancer to patients, caregivers and GPs and a national support network.
